  3. Reduce stress
Having a relaxation period an hour before bed where you wind down is very helpful. You also got to avoid extra caffeine and alcohol because both of hose can cause you to grind your teeth throughout the night.

What Is the Treatment for Teeth Grinding?

Treatment of teeth grinding depends on the cause. There is no specific treatment for tooth grinding, but there are ways to eliminate the symptoms, and the underlying cause can be treated. Daily tooth grinding can be improved by increasing awareness, physiotherapy or exercise, but night tooth grinding requires other strategies because it is out of one’s control. If the main problem is stress or sleep apnea, treatment for these disorders may be helpful. Adequate sleep at night or regular exercise can help.

Dental night guards or mouth guards, which are prescribed by a dentist, can be placed on the tooth to prevent it from grinding.

A dental night guard can be used at night to protect teeth, and short-term use of muscle relaxants is a possible option. Avoiding foods and beverages that have high concentrations of caffeine or alcohol may be helpful, as they can reduce wear and tear. Chewing gum may exacerbate bruxism because it can transmit wear and tear to muscle memory. Another method is to relax the jaw muscles with warm tissue at least once a day to reduce their tension.
